1. Confirm thesis proposal and   mid-term report is passed

Before Nov.20,2020

Please make sure you have finished thesis proposal（finishing   both online application and submit the signed file to A102）and mid-term   report online application. If you cannot submit   online, please check if there’s any F on your transcript or you have not   finished coursework.

2.  Send attachment 1 with   personal signature and supervisor’s signature to Jbox  and upload thesis online

1.You can check   online the repetition check results within 3days.

2.Thesis that passes   repetition check will be sent for blind review.

3.If you   failed in repetition check, you cannot go on with next steps.

3.SJTU Sample   check /ME school blind review

1.If you passed the repetition   check, please click ”sample check” online. If you are sampled, your thesis   will be sent by graduate school for blind review, otherwise, your thesis will   attend sample check by ME school.

2.Send attachement1 (with the   signature of your supervisor) first. Only after this, thesis can be sent for   repetition check.

4.Defense

Held before   Feb 1,2021.

Secretary will   keep you informed of the detailed arrangement.

1.The   operation of repetition check is only ONCE, please make sure to upload the final   version.    2. Since the thesis for repetition   check is also the version for blind review, you must be careful and the   format requirement is in attachement2

3.Format key   points: Delete your personal info (such   as your name, student ID and supervisor’s name that appear on all places;   Delete acknowledgement page; Delete your name and supervisor’s name if you   list your publications in thesis).

Defense secretary   and group division

Pls keep in   contact with your secretary.

Please ask   your supervisor to find two thesis review experts in advance and then tell   their names to your secretary. After passing repetition check, contact   secretary to send your thesis for the expert review.

Expert review (secretary   will send your thesis and input result online)

Please print out   two experts review forms and get their signatures on the lower right corner.

Sample check

If you are   sampled by SJTU, there is no need to submit the paper copy.

If you are not   sampled by SJTU, your thesis will attend sample check by ME school. School   sample notice will be sent in future.

1.If you   passed the repetition check, please click ”sample check” online. If you are   sampled, your thesis will be sent by graduate school for blind review,   otherwise, your thesis will attend sample check by ME school.

The last 15%   (ranked by the defense performance) will  attend a second defense

Pls revise   your thesis and attend the second defense held on around the end of Feb or^,   at the March beginning 2021.

Upload thesis   online for filing

If you passed   the first defense, please upload before Feb. 1st,2021.

If you ranks as   last 15%, pls finish online filing after second defense.

The   final thesis for online filing cannot be modified after upload. Pls be very   cautious.
